I’ve had a lot of massages, but don’t always find relief for long. I’ve come across a few gifted practitioners and Rami Kouhana is one of them. I’ve tried a few spa and beach massages here, and while they feel good in the moment, they haven’t resulted in lasting change. After my first session with Rami, my body felt different, and it has helped shift a chronic pain in my hip/low back. I’d definitely recommend him 🙏🏼 - Sien Tan
I´m doing Yoga and Qi Gong with Rami because of stiffness I have, even though I walk every day. And I also have an Illness. After just 10 days of practice so far I notice a lot more limberness in my neck and shoulders and knees. And I have a lot more stamina and energy. And there's less pain. The structure and order of the exercises are smooth and there is such a beautiful flow that's very meditative and soothing. So not only am I getting amazing stretches, I can feel that, but I also feel calmer and more relaxed and my tension is being released from all those tight spots.- Ursula
I've just started doing Yoga and Qi Gong with Rami. Its having a lot of positive effects for my hip injury and much less tightness from all that sitting while I´m working. It's a new challenge and complimenting my other forms of exercise and physical therapy. Its getting my joints moving and my brain working. - Jad Becket
Yesterday was the first time I did Qi Gong. I like to move and I enjoy this more than yoga. After it I felt energized and it felt like every vein, joint & organ in my body was loosened up. I can recommend this to everybody who wants to exercise and doesn't like to do fitness. I loved it! - Ruth Lauwaert
"Quintessential healer. Listens to the patient/client AND to his/her body speaking of its problems/issues/pain. Rami is also very knowledgeable in many different facets of health, eating, healing, mind/body relationship. Always cool, calming, and giving." - Michael Weinberg
I have worked with Rami Kouhana doing Tai Chi Qi Gong exercise for about 6 months. After the first month I could definitely feel a difference. I have found I have more flexibility and better balance. This is a non stressful and peaceful form of exercise for any everyone of any age.
Rami is also an incredible massage therapist. I have been getting massages for over 40 years and never have I had a massage like one of his. Rami has an incredible knowledge of the human body and has found and released my tight tension areas especially in my neck, back and shoulders. I highly recommend him. for your next massage.- PMD
Rami is a master bodyworker. He combines the knowledge and expertise of a professional muscle therapist, with the restorative energy of a healer. His skillful treatment leaves me feeling more relaxed and grounded for days. - Chana Sorah
I am a 200hr Yoga teacher trained in Bali Indonesia certified with Yoga Alliance International. Yoga has been a compliment to my athletic lifestyle, supporting my body to move freely and strong. I enjoy learning new things and adding to my fitness lifestyle. Tai Chi has always intrigued me and I became keen to learn after I spent some time in China watching the locals practice in the park. The opportunity presented for me this summer when Rami came to my village at Sun Peaks Resort in the interior of British Columbia.
Within the first few days of class, much to my surprise, I ended up having shoulder pain and restriction of movement, I was disappointed at first thinking "oh no, I guess I will need to stop going to class". On further reflection, I sensed it was from a previous injury that the Tai Chi helped resurface providing my body an opportunity to heal on a deeper level. I continued to attend class, but to move more mindfully and with intent and to use my breath as the guide as instructed by Rami. In doing so, within a few days the pain was gone and I had more range of movement than I've had since the initial injury.
I am including Tai Chi in my daily practice combining it with Yoga. The Tai Chi movements feel natural and intuitive with a dynamic flow and rhythm as in a dance.
I highly recommend Tai Chi as a compliment to ones holistic lifestyle for enhancing and deepening their mind, body, spirit connection. - Melanie Pouliot Yoga Teacher and Holistic Health Practitioner
Rami made me feel safe and comfortable from the start. He knows how to gauge the client's comfort level and then suggest where to go. I needed a little deep tissue in shoulder/neck but gentle elsewhere. He manipulated tight muscle groups by asking and feeling. I ended up doing a longer session. There was quiet time too so I could let my mind wander and then was literally, naturally somewhat high for 24 hrs. Highly recommended! - William B. O'Brien
Rami is a very sensitive and subtle massage therapist. I went to his studio for a couple of months while in bad shape and found his treatments really useful. - Laura
Rami is not just a great bodytherapist, but also a great person who clearly lives his life the way he practices his skills: with kindness, compassion and an open mind. - GB
I went to see Rami after months of struggling what I thought to be a persistent back pain problem which radiated through to the front of my chest. It had been on and off for years...and had recently become worse. Rami talked to me at length before treatment, assessing my health from a number of angles, and talked to me about overall ways to increase my well-being. His treatment then provided immediate relief, and subsequent ones eliminated the problem almost entirely. He also helped identify more of the true source of the problem and pain and we discussed ways to keep it from returning in the future. I cannot thank Rami enough for helping rid me of a problem that significantly decreased my quality of life. His treatments returned me to a state of well-being. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. He is a committed professional, and a sincere and honest person in my assessment. - Christine Graziano
Having had massages from spas and resorts worldwide I can tell you that Rami’s massages are right up there at the top! He knows exactly how to apply the right amount of pressure for any type of massage. Highly recommended! - Jeff from Tel Aviv
I came to Rami in the 5th month of my pregnancy and continued up until a week before my daughter was born. I was looking for someone who specializes in prenatal massage and happened to find a flyer of his in a cafe. Rami knows the human body and how to touch. He has an amazing touch, sensitivity, and experience. He eased the back pain I had and helped me to relax until the end of my pregnancy. I warmly recommend him. - Patricia
Thank you Rami for the treatment. You are angel. You have the power to be present and heal with your hands. Bless you dear brother! - Orly
I came to Rami with two hip and one knee replacement, a bad back, and frozen shoulders. In short, I was a mess. Rami is definitely therapeutic body work; providing deep tissue and trigger point massage. Within a month he has extended my range of motion, enabled me to walk upright ( vs hunched over) and helped me become more attentive to my body. I walked almost 1.5 miles yesterday which was a miracle, with a little help from Tylenol. I highly recommend Rami if you are serious about body work. He uses numerous tools of his trade and cares deeply about his work. - Mara Adelman, from Napa, Ca.
I want to recommend a fabulous massage and cranial sacral therapist, Rami Kouhana — we had the pleasure of having him over yesterday to work on our teen daughter who had developed severe insomnia back in the states after prolonged construction work around our home— she had seen many specialists and was still having very fragmented and poor sleep.
We are happy to announce this morning that she slept all night uninterrupted, first time in months.
Rami also worked on our friend who also was able to release emotion and tension and loved it! - Connie BucioHdez
After a year of being overworked and burnt out at a job in Korea, I arrived in PV last Sunday, jet lagged all week. My body was very tight from built up tension and not being in the best physical or mental health from poor diet and lack of exercise. After one massage I feel rested, open and like myself again. There's still more work to do, but it would have taken me weeks to feel half of how great I'm feeling now. I could have gone to a spa, but the energy work that's included in what Rami does far supercedes any spa or clinical massage I've ever had. - Deirdre Abigail
I highly recommend Rami's classes. It gently helps with strength, flexibility and correct breathing and leaves you energized and not tired. - Jane Beytagh
This class is different from all my other Tai Chi experiences and a great addition. It makes it easy to overcome my limits, very beneficial. Driving home I felt my body very loosely being rocked by the bumpy roads, a wonderful sensation! Give it a try! - Andrea
I HIGHLY recommend Rami Kouhana for a GREAT massage....You will feel less stressed...you will sleep better...your head will be clearer and much more at ease.... most people don't realize how badly they need this service until they finally have it. - Mark Daffner
